The Manistee County Fair Board Fund was created to help maintain the County Fairgrounds in Onekama and to support the Manistee County Fair, held annually in late August.
More than 108 years ago, a group of Manistee County citizens banded together with a vision of exhibiting the agricultural accomplishments of Manistee County. That tradition started in 1887 and will continue with the help from donations made to this important fund established by the Manistee Agricultural Society.
The Manistee Agricultural Society is committed to providing an annual county fair to exhibit livestock, produce and handiwork, as well as to providing family entertainment in a wholesome environment. Agriculture has had a significant role in shaping Manistee County. The Manistee County Fair provides an avenue for encouraging and promoting this important industry and heritage of our area. By donating to this fund, you can personally contribute and have a stake in helping to continue this 108-year-old tradition.
