Nelson Humane Society Fund

The Nelson Humane Society Fund was established in order to support the Manistee County animal shelter, currently known as Homeward Bound Animal Shelter, a safe haven for lost, abandoned and unwanted pets. This Fund supports the ongoing costs of shelter operations. The Manistee County Humane Society was founded in 1986. It is an all-volunteer group funded entirely by donations. Current programs include issuing low-cost spay and neuter certificates and a pet adoption referral service.
