Culbert Family Scholarship Fund

Scholarship

The Culbert Family Scholarship Fund was established by Tom and Lois Culbert to help encourage students to pursue the field of education, or a field that supports education, and to provide support for students looking to continue their education after high school. The scholarship also serves as a lasting memorial to Lois Culbert. Tom was a former superintendent for Manistee Area Public Schools and Tom and Lois's family shares their value of education.

Applicants must be graduates or graduating seniors of Manistee Area Public Schools. Selection is based on demonstration of financial need, academic achievement (GPA between 2.5 - 3.8), demonstration of leadership and involvement in serving youth or community. Preference may be given to students who are pursuing study in the field of education or a supporting field including, but not limited to; social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or special education. However, awards will not be limited to these fields.
