Manistee County Community Foundation

Who We Are

If you think a community foundation is a nonprofit organization created by local residents to improve their community, you’re right. But that’s just the beginning!

The Manistee County Community Foundation works with donors, grantees, and community partners to identify and support the issues that shape our area. By bringing people together around a common mission and connecting resources with a vision for the future, we help to ensure that our community remains vital and strong.

We enhance the quality of life across Manistee County by building community endowment, awarding grants and scholarships to address community needs, and serving as a convenor and providing leadership to achieve positive community change.

MCCF is the only entity serving Manistee County that impacts all aspects of life: youth, education, human services, the arts, environment, recreation, community development, placemaking, and more. Our focus on endowment means that contributions to MCCF help enhance our community today and provide a lasting impact for future generations.

We are one of 65 place-based community foundations in Michigan and of more than 1,000 throughout the U.S. that exist to improve the quality of life of their communities – today and in the future.

For Good. For Ever.
